Expert mode - Vid&Aud selections unknown limitations

Postby Filmstrip » 25 Jun 2013, 22:25

G'Day, Ever since I went to QMC 4506 have have had little success at selecting the right video and audio to convert from anything to anything. There seems to me that mapping one format to another is very complex and unknown rules exist which inhibit a workable combination. Mostly I try to do conversions so I can edit in Adobe, which allows me to colour correct or reset audio levels. Usually the goal is to take an SD format and output to HD (1280x720 lowest) and audio as AAC or AC3. Why, so it gets rendered faster.

QMC version 4500 allowed me to select alternate audio codex such as asV1 or V2 (assumed this is asus) which Adobe would except. Following the same method that worked in QMC 4500, doesn't work in QMC 4506. Also when I select a profile the audio default is AAC or AC3 and 2 channels.

So here is my question does QMC, any version convert audio for video to AAC 6 channel and will it convert AC3 in 6 channels as well? (when 6 channels are present).

Hello,
1)Please send my your profile of conversion so we can try to help you.
The profiles are saved in the directory of install, in profile folder.
The codecs ASV and SV1 are already available. In case of these codecs are not in databases, you can add.
We can rework the profile with the values same as the profile in QMC 4500.

2)You can convert the AAC to AC3 if you assume the numbers of channel are corrects thus:
2.1 5.0 5.1 6.0 6.1 ...
thx for donating
