Error with converting 3G2 files

hello.

I have been trying in vain to convert my samsung videos to any usable format on my laptop with VISTA operating system. I copied this from the information part for one of the files that I am trying to convert.

Hello and welcome to our support forum,

Thank you for the information you gave us it does save us a lot of time ,

The problem comes from
Format : QCELP
the audio codec used by your samsung (I suppose you are in the us) in europe for some reason they do not use that codec .

QCELP as explained on and in a couple more ( use search "QCELP")some threads in this forum , QCELP is a proprietary audio codec and is not yet supported by ffmpeg, it is therefore likely you will get an image but no sound or not even both on some occasions.
