Hello,

with the latest version , you must accept the conditions before to download FFmpeg.
In the new version FFmpeg is not installed with QMC.
In some cases, the security of your antivirus and Windows Seven block the download, don't reinstall the software, only restart Qmc and accept the conditions.

Have a nice day.

Hello,
you can find in attachment the folder to unzip manually in your home folder application.
Unzip the folder in the following folder: C:\Users\@usermame@ \AppData\Roaming\Cocoon Software\QuickMediaConverter
Replace @usermame@ per your use name.
bin.zip
Folder to copy in user directory
(7.04 MiB) Downloaded 333 times

Happy Christmas.

I, too, cannot get the converter to run despite downloading the bin.exe file as http://www.cocoonsoftware.com/paypaldonate-us.htm into app data cocoon file. The same bin file is present in the main programme with the same Hd and Std files and the ffmpeg files have exactly the same creation date as the newly downloaded ones. Can I have some help?
Also what is meant by "only restart Qmc and accept the conditions." I cannot find any conditions to accept!
If I cannot get it to work, Can I download version 4.0.0.20 and use that instead?

Hello,

if all files are present in the directory, the last action to do ,is perhaps to make a right click on the application and run application as administrator.
I think in your case that you have not sufficient rights to launch FFmpeg in background.
Check you security program software also try to launch QMC without your security program activated.

Now we can not let the old version on the website because the old version can be submitted to fees or royalties for use the HD codecs' and others in more...
Have a nice day.

Thanks for your advice. Starting with security program software switched off does not help.
When I tried to run the ffmpeg files as administrator the one in Std folders accepted it and ran. The ones in Hd folders would not run but gave the same message "ffmpeg cannot start because pthreadGC2.dll is missing..... reload program". This i have done without sucess. Where can I get this file and where should it go?

Hello,

this file (pthreadGC2.dll) is in the program folder.
You have not needed to copy to an another folder.

We work on this problem, at this stage we check if the compilation of the version available on the Website has not a bug .

Hello,

1. Copy also FFmpeg in the program folder.
2. Check yours rights on the folders.
3. If problem persist, delete the following entire tree registry entry and reinstall QMC.
Do an search on the following keywords "Cocoon Software" and "CocoonSoftware" in the registry editor
With the registry deleted, you are sure to make a fresh installation.

Have a nice day.
