Color

Postby philsan300 » 18 Feb 2009, 00:40

I use CamStudio to record training videos of programs running on my PC. It creates AVI files. I can view the AVI files without problems using Windows Media Player. However when I use Quickmedia to convert the AVI files to MWV, the colors are all change (for example background screen color changes from blue to brown). I have installed CamStudio on 2 other PCs withthe same result. I have used version 3.6 and 3.65. Any help would be appreciated.

I am using Windows XP Pro Service pack 3

Hello and welcome ,

Your issue probably comes from the codec you chose in camstudio.

May I http://www.cocoonsoftware.com/paypaldonate-us.htm to read this and download and install the camstudio codec.

Then open camstudio go to options then click on video options

Image

you should then get something like this ;
Image
Select camstudio lossless codec as in the picture clcik on ok .

Record a small movie to make your test .
Convert it in QMC and things should now be ok with respect to color display.

Thank you for letting us know if this solves your problem , it did for me when I was using Microsoft codec I had the same problem.

Have a nice day
