Codec Parameters in MP2

Postby Garden Peat » 09 Feb 2009, 21:59

Thanks very much for a great piece of kit. I have down loaded the latest version 365. when I try to do an MP2 to MP3 conversion, the conversion starts, then I am getting the message, COULD NOT FIND CODEC PARAMETERS.
Below is the technical info for the file.
Hope you can help me out on this problem. I used the earlier version of QMC to do the same conversion without a problem, is it something in the new 365 ?
Thanks once again, Peter

Hello and welcome ,

Somehow it might be a protected file as it is from bbc it could include some drm inside , nevertheless you could send us a small smaple viao rapidshare or any similar service so we could test what the issue might be .

Have a nice day,

Thanks Team Cocoon for your prompt reply & help.
I have recorded another program from my DAB radio [Planet Rock in MP2] & successfully converted it to MP3, so no prob with my installed QMC.
Re recorded another program from my DAB radio, this time a BBC Radio 7 program [MP2] put it through QMC & NO prob converted to MP3. I think the original problem was that I changed the Titles of the original files before putting them through QMC & this may have been what upset the conversion.
Thanks once again for help & a GREAT product.
Cheers, Peter

Hello ,

Thanks for your feedback,

We are glad to know the problem did not come from QMC but for some other reason .

It may also happen that during recording some flux may have been lost during airtime. This making the file partly unusable and not convertible.

Have a nice day and fun using QMC

hello,
look in this writing : input is in 1 channel and in easy mode preset are in 2 channels.
Try to convert in expert mode with 1 channel.
1.Go to tab video, select don't encode video and select mp3 format in list format.
2.Go to tab audio and select mp3 codec , bitrate : 128, freq. rate: 44100 and 1 channel.
3. Start conversion

Have a nice day.
