AVI to Ipod (Image and sound distortion)

Hello,

I am a new user, and I love this product. I am a Windows Vista user, with QMC version 3.6.5. I have not seemed to have any problems converting between formats until I tried converting an .avi file to an iPod format.

* When attempting this conversion in easy mode using 16:9, the video height of output file is stretched out of proportion. That tells me that the width of the input file must be wider that the usual 16:9 widscreen preset.

* When attempting this conversion in easy mode using "iPod custom free size" preset, the the aspect actually looks perfect... but the sound is
extremely low with very poor sound quality.

* When attempting this conversion in Expert mode, no matter how I play with the settings, I get the following error:
"Error [ Stream #0.1: Audio: mp3, 48000 Hz, stereo, 32 kb/sffmpeg.exe: unrecognized option '-b']"

Does anyone have any http://www.cocoonsoftware.com/paypaldonate-us.htm that could help me in my delima? I have searched the forums, and could not find any solution.

Does anyone have an iPod profile they can share?

Hello,

try in standart mode the mov profil compatible with a ipod.
I not sure but the problem come from your video is already converted with virtualdub and by experience ffmpeg and vitualdub have not a good compatibility.
If with mov profil the problem is not resoved send me the file to make a test on the forum or ftp server.
