Copying conversion format profiles over to expert mode?

I don't get it, why can't I load the format options over from easy mode to expert mode?
Are there profiles from the the easy mode "conversion formats" hidden somewhere?
I want to load the PSP profiles and modify them in expert mode.
This should be simple but I'm dumbfounded. I'm surprised this isn't the number one most asked question.

While I appreciate the upload of this profile, I agree with warflame. We should be able to access exact copies of the built in conversion settings for experimental tweaking. This is simply because we have used the Easy Mode profiles and thus have a point of reference.

For example, how does your PSP 4-3.xml file compare with the 5 profiles that exist for the PSP?

I have personally preferred the "XviD for PSP 16:9" profile, but would like to tweak it to use 420 x 270 dimensions, but I can't for the life of me replicate the initial settings. Somewhere, I am setting something wrong and getting files that are 10x larger than the source video!

Hi Beny and welcome ,

Cocoon Dev has unfortunately left for a well deserve holiday and I am not using these profiles for the PSP so I clearly would not know , however if the size is too big you would have to modify the size (width height) of your video or reduce the bitrate.

Unfortunately Gilles ( Cocoon Dev) will be back in 15 days I will let him know about this post as he returns , since then I can only ask you to be patient .

I concur with the previous posters. I am new to QMC and was really hoping that I could load up the DVD profile in Easy Mode, then switch to Expert mode and tweak one thing at a time to experiment, but when I switch over, everything is lost. Even being able to save and load profiles in Easy Mode would help. Personally, I like much about your program but find Easy too limiting, and non-instructive, and Expert Mode, too expert.

Cocoon Dev is now back . We have discussed this issue and thought it was a good idea so decided to include it in the next release comming up sometimes this month .

You should then be able to upload your basic profile directly from easy mode.
