dolby digital- Solved

dolby digital- Solved

Postby oldfogey76 » 12 Sep 2011, 16:17

I need to use expert mode only to get DVD compliant mpeg2 with mp2 audio.
Regardless of what audio codec I select, the converted video will have an ac-3 audio track.
All other aspects of the video will be perfect.
I am using QMC 4.5.0.0.
Windows XPsp3
This is what is reported before conversion; -target ntsc-dvd -mbd rd -cmp 2 -subcmp 2
I would appreciate help with this problem.
Thank you,

Hello,
welcome on the forum.

1. Click on the dvd button and select expert mode.
2. Select the option Pal for Europe or Ntsc for America.
3. You go automatically in expert mode.
4. Click on the tab "Audio".
5. Set to mp2 Codec .
6. Set to 128k Bit Rate .
6. Set to 44000 Freq Rate.

If your conversion is ok, you can record the profile to use a next time.

Have a nice day.

Dear cocoon-dev,
I have tried several different codecs in addition to mp2, and all converted files have ac3 audio.
I have used ntsc and pal, and every converted file has ac3 audio.
I have resized the video just to see if it worked, and that works as it should.
I have had the same problem with an older version of QMC, so I uninstalled it, downloaded and installed the latest version, and still have the same problem.
