I want to publish videos on my homepage with 1280x720-resolution and a bitrate about 5000 kbps. Source files are different mov- and wmv-files. In the easy mode I tried a H264 .mp4 Profile, the converter reach about 30 fps. The file works, but the bitrate is no high enough. With that settings QMC seems to be one of the less software which is able to convert my wmv-files (ofter software has often problem with that format).
So I tried the expert mode and selected libx264, 5400k bitrate, width 1280, height 720, aac audio 192k. But then I got an Error: Stream #0.0 -> #0.1Error while opening encoder for output stream #0.0- maybe incorrect parameter [..] - I had no idea what to do.
Then I copied a profile and changed some values. My settings there are again libx264, 5400 bitrate, width 1280, height 720, aac audio 192, but an additional command line:
-level 41 -bt 1408k -bufsize 10000k -maxrate 10000k -g 300 -coder 1 -flags +loop -cmp +chroma -partitions +parti4x4+partp4x4+partp8x8+partb8x8 -me_method umh -subq 7 -trellis 2 -refs 1 -me_range 16 -keyint_min 25 -sc_threshold 40 -i_qfactor 0.71 -rc_eq ""blurCplx^(1-qComp)"" -qcomp 0.6 -qmin 10 -qmax 51 -qdiff 4 -flags2 dct8x8+skiprd
Problem here is: The converter reach only 7 fps (not a realy problem, I have time) is and it seems that the resulting video has some lags which are not present in the original file. So could you help me to create a profile for my hd-videos without some lags? And is it possible to modify the moov atom with the same converting process, so that the mp4 files are played on the homepage even if it's not completely downloaded?
