Sony Walkman MP4 Conversion

Sony Walkman MP4 Conversion

Postby clarkejw » 24 Jan 2010, 22:17

I used to use expert mode in v3.6.5 to convert flv files to MP4 using the following settings:

Output format: mp4

Video options...
Codec: mpeg4
BitRate: 256
Frame: 25
x: 320
y: 240

Audio options...
codec: aac
bitrate: 129
Freq. Rate: 48000
Channel: Stereo

I have now upraded to v4.0.0.8 and use the same settings, however, the video is poor and there is no sound.
After much messing around with settings, I have tried to downgrade to v.3.6.5 but the files are not available.

Has anyone seen this issue, can advise how to resolve or, advise where I can download v3.6.5 from?
Would it be possible Cocoon developers could add an easy option for convertin g to Sony Walkman's?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi again,

Thanks for your prompt reply.

I have tried what you said - the only difference appears to be the Video bitrate setting.
Unfortunately, this has made no difference - I still get poor video quality and no sound.

Do you have any more ideas or, Is it possible to restore v3.6.5 to the 'Previous versions' link on your site:
http://www.cocoonsoftware.com/index.php ... &Itemid=56
When I try, I get to download install.zip but it is actually version 4.0.0.8.
v3.6.5 worked well for me so don't understand why 4.0.0.8 doesn't.

Thanks very much

Hello again ,

The only solution is to increase bitrate by 500 k untill you reach proper satisfying settings,

Hope this works ,
