dolby digital in avi (DivX) files

Hello,

i want convert a .rec file (from digital sat receiver Topfield TF6000PVR) in a .avi file (DivX) with the dolby digital (ac3) audio stream. When i use the easy mode only the stereo audio stream is converted. What for properties must be use in the "expert mode" to convert the .rec file in the .avi file (DivX) with the dolby digital audio stream with the best quality (audio and video).

Hello and welcome ,

First try in easy mode to load DIVX (select expert mode in Divx settings) it wil open in expert mode with fields already filled with divx ac3 2 channel .
Choose 16/9 or 4/3 according to your needs
once in expert mode go to the audio tab and if you want 5.1 just select 6 channels

That should work as audio is already in ac3

by above your help i tried to incorporate 5.1channels with ac3 by selecting channels 6 but the when i opened with VLC player it shows undef audio not supported

in some case the audio is not synchronised with the video and the sound begin one second later for example.
With this option, the software synchronise the audio and the sound to star together.
