Converting SWF: could not find codec parameters

Postby RWilliscroft » 10 Jun 2012, 17:29

When converting a SWF file I get an error stating that QMC could not find the codec parameters. The file converts just fine in iWisoft Flash SWF to Video Converter. I am running on a MacBook Pro using Parallels with Windows & Pro. I tried to attach the file I am converting, but your system informed me that the extension .swf is not allowed. Here is the technical info on the file:

Hello,
welcome on the forum.

The codec is not installed by default.
Windows support only the avi format and the wmv-divx codec.
Try to install the pack codec K-lite or FFdshow.

Have a nice day.

Thank you. I tried to download both codec K-lite and FFdshow, but BOTH were blocked by my top-of-the-line virus protection program ESET NOD32 as websites containing dangerous content. Do you have a http://www.cocoonsoftware.com/paypaldonate-us.htm on how to get one of these? Note also that iWisoft Flash SWF converted the file just fine, although it left a logo on the converted copy.

Hello,
QMC is a GUI. and it's free.
In expert mode it is possible to add a logo with the command line of ffmpeg.
But it is a good idee to implement this function in the future (insertion of logo).

Why you don't deactivate temporarily your antivirus during the installation of codec's.

Have a nice day.
