MPEG 16:9 to SWF 16:9

Postby TopGeek » 06 Apr 2011, 17:57

I have a profession MPEG file that I have authorisation to put on my web site. I have used QMC to apparently make the conversion successfully but, when clicking on the hyperlink on the web site it only plays in squashed 4:3 format (on both IE and Firefox) and in a loop. Here is the tech data for the original:
General
CompleteName : C:\Web\Company\images\STIB_Dubai_uk_brian.mpg

DisplayAspectRatio/String : 16:9
FrameRate/String : 25.000 fps3

StreamSize/String : 7.19 MiB (84%)

Audio

Format_Profile : Layer 2
Duration/String : 42s 971ms
BitRate_Mode/String : CBR
BitRate/String : 192 Kbps
Channel(s)/String : 2 channel2
SamplingRate/String : 44.1 KHz
StreamSize/String : 1007 KiB (11%)

XP Service Pack 3,Pro 32 bits Execution
C:\Program Files\QuickMediaConverter
C:\Program Files\QuickMediaConverter\QMC.exe
4.0.0.20 32 bits

... and here for the converted file:

DisplayAspectRatio/String : 4:3
FrameRate/String : 29.000 fps3

DisplayAspectRatio/String : 4:3

Audio

Format_Profile : Layer 3
Duration/String : 44s 276ms
Channel(s)/String : 2 channel2
SamplingRate/String : 22.05 KHz
Resolution/String : 16 bit3

XP Service Pack 3,Pro 32 bits Execution
C:\Program Files\QuickMediaConverter
C:\Program Files\QuickMediaConverter\QMC.exe
4.0.0.20 32 bits

Despite specifying the 16:9 aspect ratio, it clearly converts to 4:3. I have tried unticking CPU (as I read in another thread but to no avail.
I am using Win XP and QMC 4.0.0.20 and I have tried both Easy and Expert modes. Can anyone offer a solution?

Thanks. I've already done that and have now found out how to get the 16:9 conversion correct.
