DivX to DVD Format Conversion Error

Postby Trechix » 14 Jul 2010, 04:05

Hello,
I was trying to convert a (approx. 700 MB) DivX file to NTSC DVD High Quality (16:9). After about two hours of conversion, the status gives me the following error:

Error (video: 2320506kB
audio: 355824kB global
headers:00kB muxing overhead
2.555200%)

I'm wondering what I can do to fix the problem or to find any alternate option, thanks! My system and QMC information is all below.

OS
Windows Vista: Home Premium (SP2 - 32 Bit)
NOT using Windows Media Center

QMC
Quick Media Converter Next Generation HD Version 4.0.0.8 (Easy Mode)

Hello and welcome ,

In your case it could be several things ,

1) Have you tried doing the same with other videos and did it work ?
2) It could be nice to try with the latest stable release QMC 4.0.0.20 or our new beta version QMC 4.0.0.30 V4 .( on our website)
3) The could be a problem with the movie you are trying to convert and some information might be missing in it .

Is the converted file readable ? because sometimes getting an error does not neccessarily mean that the conversion is not working .
Please if you get back to us paste here the technical informationof your input file so we can have a look and see if there is anything wrong with it .

Have a nice day

Hello,

in this case the ffmpeg program can not remux or demux correctly the video and give a error with the information's on the file:
- the index of video is no make and then you can't forward or rewind the video.
- Images are displayed in a temporal order confusing, the video back then advance what keeps sync.
-. Mov and. Mp4 sync is lost.

The software give in this example that the sync error is produced at the begin of you conversion.

Have a nice day.
