Converting SWF files

Postby WillLearner » 09 Jul 2010, 01:20

HI,

I have the problem otheres have encountered namely trying to convert an swf file does not work - the error message indicates there is something wrong with the input file. Also the file does not play on the palyer and produces the message

Error while opening the video
Le fichier ne peut pas être lu.
Windows ne prend pas en charge ce type de fichier ou le codec utilisé pour sa compression.[/color]

Notes:
-I'm running version 4.0.0.20
-The result is same whether the cpu flag is ticked or not
-The file plays without problem in other media players
-iWisoft Flash SWF to Video Converter converts the file without problem

Can you http://www.cocoonsoftware.com/paypaldonate-us.htm anything else to try

Regards

Hello and welcome to our help forum ,

Please send us technical information about the file you are trying to convert and as much information about your OS and what you wanted to convert it to and so on.
If you are unsure on how to do it please read this .
It could also be that the file is copy right protected to begin with .

We are looking forward to your news,

Have a nice day

Hi

>Please send us technical information about the file you are trying to convert ...
- I dont know anything technical so I'm attaching the actual file (it is the smallest one of a series - but the problem is the same for the entire series)

>and as much information about your OS and what you wanted to convert it to and so on....
- I'm running windows XP. I want to convert the file to AVI format (but this is not relevant yet since QMC isn't reading the file at all)

> It could also be that the file is copy right protected to begin with...
- Not a problem here. The file has been down loaded from the internet and opens with no problem in several players as well as being converted with no problem by the other conversion program I mentioned.

Look forward to seeing if you have a solution as I'd much rather be using QMC for all my conversions
