Postby Team Cocoon » 23 May 2009, 00:13

Hello to all ,

You can now download Quick Media Converter 3.8.0 HD Next Generation for beta testing and report to us in this topic any bugs you may find while using it , we will not be supporting it as the standard version 3.6.5 however we will be glad to collaborate with you all on the improvement of this product ,

Remember eventhough this version looks very similar to the previous one many technical changes in the background have been made and since we are only two and submerged with work we need your help despite the fact that we have been testing it for the last month or so...

A special request for those who have Cell phones using QCELP audio codec could you test this version and let us know if you encounter problems still .

AVC now supported
HD profiles for PS3 included as well (High Level 4.1 and Low level 3.0 )
HD conversions are fairly long and are quite big beware ...

You all have fun and thanks for your participation in making our application one of the best on the Web ...

Will this replace my current version? I see that it is in beta so I'm not sure if I want to get rid of the old one yet.

Hello ,

This is a replacement for your version if you talk about 3.6.5 and has many more features and bugs corrections included, however as it is in beta for a little while we leave the old version available on our main website.

Good day

Hi, version 3.8 works well so far.

After converting videos, a bunch of links (about 3) to cocoonsoftware.com come up, this seems kind of redundant because there is a Cocoonsoftware tab. Other than that it is running just as good as 6.5 :D

Strangely enough it hasn't happened again but, when I first converted something in expert mode three links came up saying "latest news" and all of the were the same, in the lower right hand side (just under the preview box). And in easy mode just above the box with the video names. It only happened once and hasn't happened again. The only other thing is that in the English version there is a typo, it says right it says "Rigth ckick" instead of "Right click."

Hello again ,

And thanks for the precision , it may be explained by the fact that since you loaded your application probably the very first day we placed it online and now Gilles has uploaded a later release ( mostly title was modified) what you saw was probably the update links to the software as they only appeared once.

As for the typo thank you for telling us we sometimes overlook little things like that and we will be correcting it for the final release:)

Hello again

On the top blue icons just click easy mode and you should see all buttons as before . HD blue icon is a special section of our application dedicated to High Def TV and other equipment . You may also want to check expert mode profiles we have added many.

Hope this helped.

I am a cell phone user, attempting to convert a .3g2 file to .mp4 and I am still recieving the unsupported codec error for QCELP audio. Let me know any other information I can provide for you to assist you with this problem.

hello, I've been using QMC 3.6.5 for some time now, but I've only recently joined the forum. Anyway I've just downloaded the new 3.8.0 beta, can it still convert files to mp4?
