Hello rgoldrich,
what is very very slowly for you.
How many times take the conversion from your wmv file to mp4 file ???
We don't retrieve this information in this post ?
Where is the configuration of your computer ?

For you give a example : in convert a file wmv (5mb) in 30 sec in mp4.....
I have a intel core 2 duo 6300 with 2go of memory.

Hi. Here's the information:

1. The video is 4:30 long. It takes about 6 minutes to convert.
The file size is 33.2 mb long. It translates into an IPod MP4 that is 36.7 mb.
Finally, the output file does not run. In the QuickTime Player I get "Error - 2041: an invalid sample description was found in the movie.

2. My computer configuration is as follows:

AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5200+ 2.70 GHz
Memory (RAM): 4.00 GB
Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit operating system

In general this computer is quite fast.

Thanks again for your help.

Hello rgoldrich,
thank's for your informations.

The problem come from a error in the tag codec for ipod.
The next version fix this bug.
Now, the h264 and mpeg4 are high resolution video codec .
It's take a big timing part of yours processors and thus i take a long time to convert your video.
For information; the codec h264 use capabilities cpu's sse mmx etc....

At this time, use quick time setting h264 for compatibility with ipod.

have a nice day.
