Hello and welcome,

QMC 3.4.8 will not work anymore as it was a beta version and we decided to not continue it as we released QMC 3.5.7 Final and Stable release with mostly the same code . So we have possibly two solutions :

1)Your problem might come from the install itself, so one solution is to uninstall completely your QMC directkly from your start menu, to prevent eventual conflicts between the old and the new versions.

Then download latest 3.57 on our website and reinstall making sure you have admin rights on your pc while you install (particularly on vista)

2) It is possible that the particular avi file you are trying to convert is for some reason not recognized ( wrong codec or edition) there are numerous threads on this forum explaining such cases thank you for reading them .

If the problem persists with other avi files whith wich it previousely worked thank you for posting here your file's technical specs . View our forum rules to see how ...

We hope this helps ,

Have a nice day.

Hello and thank you for your post ,

It seems your input file was encoded with
Encoded_Application : VirtualDubMod 1.5.10.1 (build 2366/release)
Encoded_Library : VirtualDubMod build 2366/release

It may be the cause of the problem .. depending on how the conversion was done with that editing tool..

The best way is to try with an other avi file and see if it worls . If it does then the conversion of your present file is not compatible with qmc .

We need complete technical information (fromm avi file) audio and video to see what is really happenning and why. Thank you for posting it in your next post.

Have a nice day
