Convert any swf to any file type has error

Postby nessy_noodles » 31 Mar 2010, 02:12

Hi,

I am trying to convert one particular swf file but no matter what file format I choose for the output the error is the same "Error[ Usually that means the input file is truncated and/or corrupted.]"

So I tried to convert some of my other swf files and had the same result. Apparently they are all corrupted. I have just installed this application and the version is 4.0.0.20.

In addition to this, the application stops working and has to be closed down after a few minutes of inactivity.

Here's the file info:

General
CompleteName : J:\Documents\love2live\PizzaOven2.swf
Format : ShockWave
FileSize/String : 7.13 MiB
Duration/String : 6s 33ms
OverallBitRate/String : 9919 Kbps

Video
Duration/String : 6s 33ms
Width/String : 631 pixel3
Height/String : 426 pixel3
DisplayAspectRatio/String : 1.481
FrameRate/String : 30.000 fps3

Audio
ID/String : 1040
Format : MPEG Audio
Format_Version : Version 1
Format_Profile : Layer 3
Duration/String : 6s 33ms
Channel(s)/String : 1 channel1
SamplingRate/String : 11.025 KHz
Resolution/String : 16 bit3

VISTA Service Pack 1 32 bits Execution
C:\Program Files\QuickMediaConverter
C:\Program Files\QuickMediaConverter\QMC.exe
4.0.0.20 32 bits

I would appreciate your help. Thanks

Hello and welcome ,

Difficult to say like this what the problem might be , can you send us a sample of your files to allow us to run some tests ? you might use rapidshare dropbox or any other free service to do so .

Before you do this you may want to read this post and apply the solution it may work :

Hi,

I did what the post advised and made sure the CPU tick was off but got the same result. It also still crashes after a couple of minutes of inactivity with a Windows message "Quick Media Converter Next Generation HD has stopped working".

Could you please point to the instructions for sending you a sample file? I couldn't attach it here.

Thanks
Vanessa
