Hi Cocooner,
1.uninstall all versions (also the old version) and delete all files in :
C:\Users\%YourUserName%\AppData\Roaming\Cocoon Software
2. Check in the 'C:\Program Files (x86)' or 'C:\Program Files' if the folder QuickMediaConverter exist; in case of the folder exist : delete
2. Install the latest version.

Have an nice day.

Even though we follow your instructions carefully, we still have the problem. Every time we start QMC, it always asks if we want to download FFmpeg.exe. If we say no, it closes. If we say yes, it starts to download then crashes. If we use a trick to prevent the crash, it continues the download until exactly 99.4% then stops. Even if I download FFmpeg.exe and place it exactly where you have told me, QMC still asks if I want to download it. I can make QMC work but there should not be these obstacles to overcome every time. I keep hoping you could give some troubleshooting http://www.cocoonsoftware.com/paypaldonate-us.htm. For example, I am downloading an FFmpeg.exe static build from http://ffmpeg.zeranoe.com. Is that the correct one. What might be the cause of the download of FFmpeg.exe by QMC always stopping at 99.4%? What could I check in my computer settings which might be interfering with the download of FFmpeg.exe by QMC?

On the positive side, I have always liked QMC and I am still using it in spite of my difficulties.

Thank you.
