NB: level of encoding was changed to main L2.1 instead of keeping the original level which is higher. Level of audio was 6 channel this was mixed down to 2 channel.

Expert mode: turn off audio. (will encode later as AC3 6 channel. then mux into mp4 video.)
1st try;
cmd: -strict experimental -coder 0 -flags +loop -cmp +chroma -partitions +parti4x4+partp8x8+partb8x8 -rc_eq 'blurCplx^(1-qComp)' -me_method hex -subq 6 -me_range 16 -g 250 -keyint_min 25 -sc_threshold 40 -i_qfactor 0.71 -b_strategy 1 -qcomp 0.6 -qmin 10 -qmax 51 -qdiff 4 -directpred 1 -flags2 +fastpskip -level 21 -minrate 10000k -maxrate 15000k -bufsize 15000k

Failed to convert.
Error [ Stream #0.1 -> #0.1 (ac3 -> libvo_aacenc) Error while opening encoder for output stream #0.1 - maybe incorrect parameters such as bit_rat4e, rate, width or height]

Here's the logic in the 1st case video and audio converted successfully. In the second case, where the audio was turned off and no changes were made to the parameters for video. The error message is reporting an audio stream error, while http://www.cocoonsoftware.com/paypaldonate-us.htm that the video parameters maybe incorrect. (Error msg need's to be cleaned up) Either the program is not capable of encoding video only or it is checking to convert audio when the the audio has been selected as OFF in the Audio Options tab.

2nd Try: changed Don't Encode Audio check box to checked in Video Options tab. Audio Options still OFF.
cmd: -strict experimental -coder 0 -flags +loop -cmp +chroma -partitions +parti4x4+partp8x8+partb8x8 -rc_eq 'blurCplx^(1-qComp)' -me_method hex -subq 6 -me_range 16 -g 250 -keyint_min 25 -sc_threshold 40 -i_qfactor 0.71 -b_strategy 1 -qcomp 0.6 -qmin 10 -qmax 51 -qdiff 4 -directpred 1 -flags2 +fastpskip -level 21 -minrate 10000k -maxrate 15000k -bufsize 15000k

There is nothing a user can do to make QMC convert video only in expert mode. It also seems that the Video & Audio Options Tabs have no effect on the command line parameters. Expert Mode it's pointless really.

In this version of QMC, the ability to convert to any format in Expert mode is compromised sub-verily and is totally unreliable.

Easy mode works if you're satisfied with two channel AC3 or AAC and those predetermined video selections, which are limited to only a few low level video compressions.

Is it possible to have the expert mode convert video only? As mp4?
