Postby fuerchan » 19 Dec 2012, 11:32

Hello,

With each release of the software, FFmpeg is downloaded ...
Is it possible that it is loaded at all times. It's long every time ...

Thank you

Hi, I have just donated some money to you and I don't know why I did as QMC is not working. The message ffmeg.exe is missing or something comes up. I am not an advanced computer user. I am using Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit on an i7 HP laptop. The QMC I installed is 4.5.0.6 When it was installing I selected yes when it asked if I wanted to install ffmeg.

What can I do to solve this. Please keep it simple. Thanks Doug

Hello,
welcome on the forum.
Here is the link where to download the version of FFmpeg compatible with the new version:
Version 32 bits
http://www.cocoonsoftware.com/download/4505/x32/Std.rar
Version 64 bits
http://www.cocoonsoftware.com/download/4505/x64/Std.rar

!!! Consider the version of your OS !!!

In case of problem with the version 64 bits with your version of OS 64 bits, download the 32 bits version.

Please follow this process:
Be carefull
This files are only valide for the following version 4.5.0.5-4.5.0.6
The older versions are not supported.

Procedure:
Stop QMC.

Must be copied into the installation folder and your two versions of FFmpeg user folder.
Do not copy it to another folder.

1.Make sure you have the rights to read and write in your user folder.
2.Ensure no security software is blocking the FFmpeg executable.

3.In the file to download, the bin folder is compressed for easy task.
4. Unzip the file:

Depending on the version of your OS.
C: \ Users \ Me \ AppData \ Roaming \ Cocoon Software \ QuickMediaConverter \
C: \ Documents and Settings \ Me \ Application Data \ Cocoon Software \ QuickMediaConverter \
(Me = your username)

Depending on the version of your OS.
C: \ Program Files (x86) \ QuickMediaConverter \ 32-bit OS
C: \ Program Files \ QuickMediaConverter \ 64 bit OS
or
C: \ Program Files \ QuickMediaConverter \

Start QMC and restart your problem is resolved.

With success I used for a long time the program on Vista Home Premium to make Movie Maker files better quality to upload to my YouTube (classic) channels. Never I had any problem.

I have 12 days a new Dell computer with Windows 8.1 64bits.
I have much, much, much times downloaded and installed. After I saw the problem first time I aware did from diffenrent sites.

I've uninstalled the program after I got the little screen with warning FFmpeg don't work anymore.
During installing I got the message to download and I did.
After uninstalling I reboot the PC and installed fresh again, again and again. Same problem, I NEVER HAD BEFORE.
I recommend the program to friends and also they never had a problem. Only it is possible after using Quick Media Converter for Mpeg tot WMV and importing the result in Movie Maker the files plays normal but after saving mostly the screen is green with only stripes. Not the responsebility of the makers of QMC bur the makers of Movie Maker.

The problem is NOT I am to old or know less about the program. Over 30 year I work with computers and now I am nearly 73 years old, I still use my computer about 10 hours a day.

Example I am very patient:
My old HP scanner does not work on the new PC, BUT..... after trying and tryng the HP scanner works. Also an about 20 years old program Ulead Photo Express verson 3.0 so please don't say I am to blame myself. Alas Microsoft Picture It (Works 2000) don't work anymore, but I know that.

I can't show the little warning screen. After uninstall the last time I have not installed again anymore.

Greetings, and respecting,
Cor Schorel
(Netherlands, so please excuse my bad English.)
I've not any problem to write my email address public: s@avd.nl
If that is against the rules, delete.....

My VERY Dear,

You are briljant. I downloaded, installed and the program this moment is converting a test and...... I did NOT get the error message.

You made me, and also some friend with the same problem, very happy. From now on I'll recommend your program again, as I did in the past always.

Shake hands (and if you are a lady XX)
