Convert to Blue Ray- Solved

Postby Richard1283 » 31 Jul 2011, 13:48

I'm very inexperienced at conversion. Have tried my best to find out if what I want to do can be done.
I have a Vizio BlueRay player with a USB port on it. I can use a Thumb Drive to view jpgs but am trying to convert mpgs to play from the thumb drive without luck. If I burn a DVD the file will play but don't want to burn a DVD for every file.

Is there a way to do this? I've tried Vizio's website but they have no info on this.

Hello,
welcome on the forum.

Convert your files in divx or xvid.
Load your files converted on your Usb key.
Try to play your files with the Usb key on your player.

Have a nice day.

Thanks for getting back.

Tried both but the player will not recognize the files. They play fine on my computer. Do I need to change any settings or use expert mode?

Hello,

check in first the technical specifications of your player.
check in your book the codecs or formats supported and then we can search for the best convertion compatible with your player.

Normaly the dvd format is supported by all dvd players because it's a standard.
iF you are from America , select the ntsc norme.

Have a nice day.

The problem is the manual or Vizios website dos'nt list the codecs. I tried the NTSC USA setting without luck.

are you sure that your file is not protected?
the Dvd and Blue Ray have an protection against the copy....
In the case where your file is protected , you must find a software to broken the key of you file

These are small 3D animation Quicktime videos that I make myself with a program called Helicon Focus so copyright is not an issue. I think the problem is more with my Blueray player. I can't find a listing of codecs for it and the USB plug may not play videos for all I know.
