HTML-5 Video Formats - Solved

Postby britcom » 04 Jan 2013, 18:01

Hi,

Regarding HTML-5

I think the inclusion of mpeg format in the HTML-5 button is an error. The HTML-5 <video> tag does not support mpeg. It only supports .mp4, .webm, and .ogv/ogg formats. Instead of mpeg, the option should be .webm I think.

Here is a link to a helpful site that explains the formats used in HTML-5:
http://www.longtailvideo.com/html5/

Also, someone forgot to change the HTML5 button's tool tip; it says "FLV"

Thanks.

Hello,
thank you very much for your feedback.
In the first release of Html5 the format mpeg was approved and now it's cancelled.
We fixes this issue and the message for the next release of QMC :).
Happy new year.

Have a nice day.
