Subtitles. - Solved

Postby Kitimaru » 21 Aug 2008, 22:14

Hi, I wanted to know if there is any way to convert an .mkv video file, into a HQ NTSC file, whilst still keeping the subtitles. I have tried already, and though the picture was still amazing, there were no subtitles.
Is there an option to change this? Or should I be converting the file to another format, before converting it to NTSC? (btw, I'm using the regular mode, not expert mode) ...should I be using expert mode for this sort of thing?

please help!

Hi, what options should I use to add the subtitles ? If I dont check the "Force subtitle" option, I dont get subtitles. If I do, the conversion wont start and I get an Unknown codec error. I have tried leaving the "Codec" in blank, filling with "ASS", filling with "S_TEXT/ASS", and always get the same result.

You may also want to activate the red button so it becomes green that could be a possibility.

I cant get the subtitles from this movie
I make the button green, mark "force subtitles" and put RLE in the codec field
I get the error message: Error [ Stream #0.3[0x80]:Audio ac3, 4800Hz, 5:1, 448kb/sUnknown codec 'RLE']
If I uncheck the "force subtitles" the file converts ok but then no subs of course..
What to do to get subs? Language is swedish in the subs if it matters..

Hello,
welcome on the forum.
When you take the information about the video converted, you find the subtitle ?
I see well the subtitle in the original but in the file converted?
Thus if it is possible, can you post also the information about the file converted.

Thank you.
Have a nice day.
